Fibers are required in almost every manufacturing branch of industry. Natural fibers are the future. This is exactly why we are researching the biological and mechanical production of pure nettle fibers. The properties of nettle fibers are convincing all along the line. Hence the working title.

Due to the fact that nettles appear as "weeds" (spontaneous vegetation), they can be planted almost anywhere and require hardly any nutrients or water. There is no need for fertilization and the fibers are free of harmful substances compared to cotton, for example. This and other benefits make nettle a “superfood” in the fiber world.
